Chalice Community Forum: Book Club with Frank Schaeffer

Topics include:

  • Why we crave love, connection, and community

  • Feminism – evolution’s gift to men (as well as to women)

  • The path to care-giving joy

Frank Schaeffer’s Fall in Love, Have Children, Stay Put, Save the Planet, Be Happy is a post-pandemic blueprint for making life fairer for everyone and includes a legislative agenda for making that happen!

Frank’s book encourages us to push back against the ideals of our culture, to prioritize time and connection over ‘success’ and ego. […] Frank makes his compelling case through both research and deeply touching anecdotes […] – a deeply needed and timely exploration of what it means to be a good human.
— Kristen Howerton, marriage and family therapist, author of Rage Against the Minivan

Frank Schaeffer is a survivor of both polio and an evangelical/fundamentalist childhood, a New York Times bestselling author who overcame severe dyslexia, a film director, and artist. Son of the late theologian Francis Schaeffer, Frank was a conservative fundamentalist Christian who later changed his views, becoming a liberal Democrat and self-described Christian atheist.
